Animators and visual artists will work as a collective in the start to finish execution of a two-dimensional moving image in the software of choice by utilizing all of the knowledge the group has to offer. Artists will work in real time with scanner friendly materials like pens, pencils, markers, and, existing prints and photographs to produce the visual elements of the animation as they are needed. Through the intermediate intervention of technology, colors and atmospheres can be manipulated to achieve the desired environment. The purpose of this participant led workshop is collective interaction, problem solving, and collaborative skill sharing. Since this workshop is student led, anyone interested can participate regardless of skill level. Questions and suggestions by non-technical participants for how to achieve the goal are just as useful as working knowledge of software and art.
