The President and Graduate School Dean preside over an academic ceremony to welcome our newest class of Graduate School degree students. Addresses by President Peter Salovey and GSAS Dean Lynn Cooley, musical selections.
Please be in your seats in Sprague Hall by 9:15 as the Ceremony and Procession will begin promptly at 9:25. Late arrivals will not be seated until the Faculty procession is completed.
Business/nice casual attire, appropriate to the weather, and comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Please wear your Graduate School Name Tag ALL DAY today - it’s your meal ticket for lunch!.
Non-degree students, family members and guests of new students are welcome to attend. As this is a university ceremony with formal welcoming addresses, it may not be suitable for small children. If you don’t want to have your children attend the ceremony with you, they can join you afterwards for the reception and later for lunch.
