The core of the Agrarian Studies Program’s activities is a weekly colloquium organized around an annual theme. The 2017-2018 theme is “Hinterlands, Frontiers, Cities, and States: Transactions and Identities.”

Cecilia Tsu is an Associate Professor in the History Department at the University of California, Davis. Her research focuses on Asian American history, race and ethnicity, immigration, California and the American West, gender, agricultural and rural history, refugees and resettlement policy.
