Treasures from the Yale Film Archive: BLACK AT YALE

Join us in celebrating 50 years of the Black Student Alliance at Yale with this special screening of BLACK AT YALE: A FILM DIARY, followed by a discussion with Warrington Hudlin ‘74. The film was directed by Hudlin while he was a Yale College senior, and focuses on the experiences of African-American students at Yale in the early 1970s. The influential documentary short follows students Erroll McDonald and Eugene Rivers, and features a conversation with civil rights activist Stokely Carmichael. 16mm print preserved by the Yale Film Study Center.
