We Wanted a Revolution: Black Radical Women, 1965–85

Event time:
Friday, April 21, 2017 - 12:00am to Sunday, September 17, 2017 - 12:00am
Hours of operation:

Wednesday to Sunday from 11:00am to 6:00pm, with extended hours on Thursdays until 10:00pm.

The exhibition will feature numerous Yale alumni and will remain on display until September 17th. According to the museum, this is “the first exhibition to highlight the voices and experiences of women of color—distinct from the primarily white, middle-class mainstream feminist movement—in order to reorient conversations around race, feminism, political action, art production, and art history in this significant historical period.”

Barbara Chase-Riboud MFA’60 and Lisa Jones ’83 will have their artwork included in the exhibition.
