The William Kelly Simpson Memorial Colloquium is held in memory of William Kelly Simpson, a former Professor of Egyptology in and chair of the Department of Near Eastern Languages & Civilization (NELC) of Yale University. The schedule includes and introduction and a talk on William Kelly Simpson’s role at Yale, his legacy, and his accomplishments in the field of Egyptology. The remaining talks present current research of the speakers in areas in which also William Kelly Simpson performed his research. The event will conclude with a reception.
