The Peabody Museum’s permanent collection provides a record of the history of the Earth, its life and its cultures. Displays include “Daily Life in Ancient Egypt,” “The Great Hall of Dinosaurs,” “The Hall of Connecticut Birds,” “The Hall of Native American Cultures,” “Fossil Fragments: The Riddle of Human Origins,” “Torosaurus, A Peabody Dinosaur” and “Hall of Minerals, Earth and Space.”

The museum is open to the public Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sunday, noon-5 p.m. The Museum is closed on Mondays with the exception of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents Day, and Columbus Day.

The museum is closed on New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
